This equipment automates the process that could include the dispensing, curing, material handling and/or assembly operations. An example would be an indexing dial that applies adhesive to a magnet, applies activator to a can, assembles the magnet and can, has fixturing stations, then off-loads the bonded assembly.
Impregnation
This equipment is used to impregnate parts to seal porosity or to extend tool life. An example would be an impregnation line used to seal aluminum steering columns.
Robotic System Integration
Standard Loctite® brand Motion Control systems can be integrated with many dispensing, curing or custom part handling operations. An example would be a three axis robot used to dispense anaerobic gasketing onto a cast flange.
Silk Screen
This is a dispenser used to dispense a part of adhesive on a flat part by pressing the adhesive through a screened pattern with a squeegee. An example would be dispensing anaerobic adhesives on an irregular flange surface using a manually operated "clam shell" silk screen.
UV Cure
This is a UV cure chamber. An example would be a large UV conveyor integrating six Fusion light sources for high speed cure of large assemblies.
Work Cells
This is an integration of dispensing and/or curing equipment into a work station that an operator manually loads and unloads. The parts are normally located with custom fixtures. This can include a wide variety of different operations. An example would be a work cell that the operator places a plastic disk on a turntable and the UV adhesive is automatically dispensed around circumference of the disk. The operator then manually places a sheet over the disk, fixtures the sheet and pushes it back into a low intensity UV cure chamber
